Can you please introduce yourself.

I’m Versus, the main writer on Skinny VS Curvy. I know I’ll be asked this in the future - so I’ll give the answer in advance: I’m not skinny and I’m not curvy either. As my name suggests, I’m aiming to be impartial, yet I want to stir competitions, to unleash battles and a wide range of comparisons.

What is SkinnyVsCurvy?

Skinny VS Curvy is a blog about celebrity body shapes, sizes and looks – with a twist! Our featured celebs are analyzed, debated, compared and even placed on the scales, advised how to dress for their body type, mildly criticized, photoshopped for our little games, admired and placed in all sorts of body competitions, such as our trademark Skinny Celebrity Versus Curvy Celebrity!

What inspired you to start SkinnyVsCurvy.com? What got you into blogging?

“Skinny or Curvy? Which one is better?” has been a very frequently asked question in the past years – yet nobody made a site about it. Today, we are dealing with so many opposite trends: on one hand, there’s the Forever Skinny trend, which characterizes most of Hollywood, then there is the Women Should Have Curves trend, not to mention the world’s dieting contamination and obesity issues. The way we see it, there are many contrasting directions going on – so we captured the spirit and thought that people could actually talk endlessly about this subject. And what better way to discuss then on celebrity bodies?

How much time do you spend blogging?

Around 5-6 hours / day. And we also “sacrifice” our Saturdays and Sundays – so I guess we really like it.

What do you do to bring in readers? Who is your audience?

Firstly, our content is 100% original, which is always a plus. Secondly, we are part of many bookmarking sites which help us bring in visitors – but most of our readers come from search engines, actually.

As for our audience, we were thinking that our site will mostly appeal to women – but it looks like we’re attracting a considerable amount of male readers, too (it’s probably all the bikini and lingerie pictures).

What other blogs do you keep an eye on? Can you share some URLs?

I personally visit lots of celebrity and fashion blogs – generally, I like blogs that have an original and fresh vibe. Some names? I’m Not Obsessed and The Superficial come to mind.

What is the most difficult part of blogging for you? What is the easiest?

I think everything comes easily as long as you love what you do. I love writing, I love celebrities and I definitely love many, many kinds of body shapes and sizes.

What do you find gratifying as a blogger?

Most definitely, our reader’s feedback, be it the case of simple encouragements, comments on our posts or the fact that our readers keep coming back to our site.

What can you advice to someone who wants to start a blog?

I’ll say that they need to LOVE the subject of their (future) blog – if they do, then they’ll update it every day and they’ll write the most captivating articles – basically, if you love your subject, you’ll end up offering both quantity and quality. Also, I think that your blog must have a personality. There are many successful blogs on any subject, but there is room for you too, as long as you can find your own little, restrictive domain, create something only yours, be it a new writing style, a new sense of humor, something original, anything.

What has blogging brought you? Money or fame?

A little of both, hopefully a lot more to come.
