I don’t know if you have had the chance to read our corporate blog but Ankit, one of our founders, recently posted about our mission here at Instablogs.

One of our core goals is to highlight critical world issues through the eyes of the people most effected from them.

Now there are many ways we already do that.

We allow anyone to write about anything they feel is important and post it on the site. We let others respond to create a dialog where people can discuss those issues.

We provide a way for you to connect with and track the people who’s opinions you enjoy reading and encourage you become more than just readers of their work but actual friends with them no matter where they are in the world. It allows you to stay informed with the people and issues you care about most.

We know everyone is busy, so we send out a newsletter with the most discussed and most popular stories of the day. So that if you miss a day or two visiting the site you can still see what everyone else is talking about and keep up with what is important to you.

But we still wanted to do more.

So now we are introducing Global Report.

Global Report is our first daily videoshow which highlights the news and opinions reported by you.

It’s all about you and by you.

You tell the stories and give opinions. We put it together daily in a (hopefully) entertaining and informative video format.

Not everyone has the time or inclination to read all the great stuff written here. That is why we decided to highlight certain stories and opinions in a short daily video show you can watch anytime.

Everyday will be actual stories from you and people like you from all over the world.

We do not hate mainstream media. And this show is not designed to replace your regular reading and watching of the news.

But what it is designed to do is to highlight what is really going on the ground.

To give you the perspectives of people actually involved in the news and their opinions.

It is another way for you to voice your opinion in a way that will reach more people.

We feel it fits in perfectly with one of our goals: to highlight critical world issues through the eyes of the people most effected from them.

This is, like everything, a work in progress. It will (hopefully) improve everyday. We have great plans for it and hope you like it.

But most importantly we want you involved.

Send us your video or audio of what’s going on around you. Allow us to share it with the world. And don’t forget to give feedback to those who have shared their stories. Follow them, ask them questions.

Communicate.

Because no matter where you are on this planet, we are all in this together.
